Free Public Access to Court Records

Kane County, Illinois residents and the general public now have free access to search for court cases online. This service is available through the Kane County website by clicking on the eServices icon on the Home page and then on Search Court.

Electronic Court Services

Kane County offers a variety of electronic court services, including e-filing, e-pay, and court case search. The Order of Protection Wizard is also available online. These services are designed to make it easier and more convenient for the public to access the courts.

The Kane County Courthouse houses the majority of the civil courts, including small claims, probate, LM, and L. Information and resources are available online for civil, family, felony, juvenile, and misdemeanor/traffic cases in Kane.

The Sixteenth Judicial Circuit is pleased to offer court hearings remotely through the use of video conferencing technology. This service allows parties to participate in hearings from anywhere with an internet connection.

The 16th Judicial Circuit Kane County is comprised of the Kane County Judicial Center in St. Charles, the Elgin Branch Court, the Aurora Branch Court, and the Geneva Branch Court.
